The operating data showed that the nitrogen oxide concentration at the outlet of the exhaust gas reactor was reduced to 30 mg/m 3 at the lowest, and the denitrification rate was up to 98%. The ammonia leakage concentration at the outlet is less than 10ppm. The concentration of nitrogen oxides in the tail gas after denitrification is much lower than the limit of nitrogen oxide emission concentration of 300 mg/m3 to be implemented on April 1, next year.

The catalyst is a new generation of honeycomb ceramic monolithic catalyst developed for the removal of nitrogen oxides from nitric acid tail gas based on the development of the Dalian Institute of Chemicals for many years. It has high catalytic activity, good selectivity, and low ammonia leakage rate when operated at high airspeeds. , Low pressure, acid corrosion resistance, small thermal expansion coefficient and many other advantages, is a very suitable overall catalyst for nitric acid tail gas NOx treatment. The catalyst has applied for a PCT patent and has independent intellectual property rights.

As the core of SCR denitrification reaction, the quality and performance of the catalyst are directly related to the level of denitrification efficiency. Yuntianhua's tail gas reactor is originally filled with granular catalysts, but the concentration of nitrogen oxides exported exceeds the national emission standards and urgently requires modification. Under the condition of preserving the original reactor, Dalian Institute of Materials has tailored the overall structural coating type of denitrification for Yuntianhua Co., Ltd. based on the actual requirements for the composition, characteristics, efficiency, and treatment of nitrogen oxide tail gas in the absorption tower of the ammonium nitrate plant. The catalyst, and internals of the tower were designed, and 2 cubic meters of integral structure with high efficiency SCR denitration catalyst was successfully loaded in the original reactor. The device has an exhaust gas treatment capacity of about 40,000 cubic meters per hour and a space velocity of 20,000 per hour, which is 2 to 4 times that of conventional granular catalysts.

Relevant information shows that there are more than 70 nitric acid plants in China and the world’s production capacity is the largest. There are many enterprises that have not reached the national emission requirements for nitric acid tail gas, and the energy-saving emission reduction tasks in the nitric acid industry are arduous. Now, various provinces, districts and cities have successively issued industrial policies to meet the discharge standards for nitrogen-containing tail gas as the primary condition for the operation of the nitric acid industry. The Ministry of Environmental Protection has also put forward higher requirements for the emission of nitrogen oxides in line with international standards.
