The 15th meeting of the Guangdong-Hong Kong Joint Cooperation Conference was held in Guangzhou on September 14. At the meeting, Guangdong and Hong Kong signed the "Guangdong-Hong Kong Framework Agreement on Food Safety Exchanges and Cooperation", the "Hong Kong-Guangdong Cooperative Agreement to Advance the Processing and Trade of Guangdong-Hong Kong Processing Trade Enterprises," and "Hong Kong and Guangdong Jointly Promoted the First Realization of Service Trade Liberalization Cooperation Agreement, Long-Term Cooperation Agreement on Numerical Weather Forecasting Technology, Letter of Intent for Cooperation between Hong Kong Cyberport Management Co., Ltd. and Guangdong Software Industry Association, Guangdong Provincial People's Government, Guangdong Province Railway Construction Investment Group Co., Ltd., Hong Kong There are 7 cooperation agreements including the Letter of Intent for Cooperation between China Railways Co., Ltd. and China Merchants Group Co., Ltd. and the Strategic Cooperation Agreement between Nanhai District People's Government of Foshan City and the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation.
In the past year, Guangdong and Hong Kong have been working together to accelerate the process of liberalization of service trade. Significant progress has been made in the fields of finance, education, medical services, tourism, electronic signature certificates, and individual industrial and commercial households. The cooperation in the service industry has been comprehensively deepened. At the same time, the economic and trade cooperation between the two cities developed steadily. The construction of key cooperation areas such as Guangzhou Nansha and Shenzhen Qianhai was speeded up, cross-border large-scale infrastructure construction and port cooperation progressed smoothly, and social and people's livelihood cooperation continued to strengthen, effectively promoting the stable economic and social development of the two places. healthy growth.
The meeting determined that the next phase will focus on strengthening the four aspects of cooperation: First, to jointly strive for more service industry pilot policies, and strive to fully relax the access policy, promote the free flow of production factors; Second, focus on the financial services trade, trade services, Major breakthroughs have been made in key areas such as professional services, science and technology and cultural services, social and public services, etc. Thirdly, we will promote the construction of key cooperation platforms such as Shenzhen Qianhai, Nansha Guangzhou, and Hengqin Zhuhai, creating a carrier for the deepening of modern service industry cooperation between Guangdong and Hong Kong. Fourth, we will improve the working mechanism for the liberalization of trade in services between Guangdong and Hong Kong.
In addition, the two sides agreed to continue to deepen economic and trade cooperation, promote the transformation and upgrading of Hong Kong-Hong Kong-owned enterprises, and accelerate the promotion of cross-border large-scale infrastructure and port construction cooperation to create favorable conditions for the liberalization of service trade.
During the economic downturn in China, the in-depth cooperation between Guangdong and Hong Kong undoubtedly injected vitality into the Pearl River Delta region and created a good business environment for enterprises in the Pearl River Delta region.
