In February 2012, the domestic automobile production was 1,068,651 vehicles, a growth of 23.79% compared with the previous period and an increase of 28.48% year-on-year; the sales volume was 1,561,061 vehicles, which represented a year-on-year increase of 12.75% and a year-on-year increase of 24.51%. In January-February, the cumulative production of automobiles was 2,903,495 units, which was a cumulative decrease of 4.93% year-on-year; cumulative sales were 2,954,270 units, a cumulative decrease of 5.96% year-on-year.
Commercial vehicle production and sales
In February, commercial vehicles produced 347,171 vehicles, an increase of 41.15% from the previous period and a year-on-year increase of 19.13%; sales of 353,938 units were up 54.37% month-on-month and a year-on-year increase of 18.08%. In January-February, the cumulative production of commercial vehicles was 588,462, a year-on-year decrease of 15.87%, and cumulative sales were 353,938, a cumulative decrease of 11.91% year-on-year.
From the perspective of the production and sales of specific models, in February, buses produced and sold 28,732 vehicles and 27,975 vehicles respectively. In January and February, the cumulative sales volume was 5,4096 vehicles and 54,780 vehicles. The cumulative output increased by 7.66% year-on-year, and the sales volume decreased by 3.66% year-on-year. The trucks produced and sold 240,922 respectively. With 247,668 units, 403,012 units and 404,827 units were sold and sold during the January-February period, a cumulative decrease of 13.84% and 8.4% year-on-year; semi-trailer tractors were sold and sold at 26,038 units and 25,814 units respectively. During the January-February period, 39,930 units and 38,088 units were sold and sold. The year-on-year cumulative decrease was 12.72% and 10.81%; buses and non-complete vehicles were sold and sold 4,915 units and 5015 units respectively; in January-February, 9,460 units and 10,726 units were sold and sold, a year-on-year decrease of 10.42% and 9.02% respectively; and trucks with non-integrated vehicles were sold at 46,564 units respectively.
