According to the Daily Herald:
A fire broke out in the attic of a home in Carol Stream early Friday, rendering the property uninhabitable, officials reported.
The Carol Stream Fire Protection District received calls about a structure fire around midnight on Friday at 601 Nez Percé Court. Firefighters arrived quickly and worked to contain the flames, but the house suffered severe damage.
This incident serves as a reminder of the dangers that can arise during the night, when many people are asleep and unaware of potential threats.
