Early on the morning of June 27, 2015, a four-story vacant apartment building was completely destroyed by fire at the intersection of 8th and Jackson in Gary. The intense flames quickly consumed the structure, leaving behind only charred remains. Emergency services were quick to respond, but unfortunately, the fire spread too rapidly for any meaningful intervention.
