Plastic Compound Underwater Cutting System Working Principle:
Traditional extrusion pelletizing involves melting and filtering plastic using single or twin-screw extrusion with strand or hot face cutting systems to produce granules, followed by cooling or solidification. However, the underwater plastic pelletizing machine is a newer technology that cuts the material directly while it is still in a molten state, touching cold water. This method offers several advantages over traditional solidifying pelletizing techniques.
Plastic Compound Underwater Cutting System Advantages:
1. The plastic is cut while in a molten state and then solidified through circulating water. This allows for different viscosities of high polymers to be processed. There is no dust, the shape is structured, and it is easy to package and transport when cutting in a molten state.
2. The size and shape can be adjusted according to the extrusion rate and cutting speed by using different die heads. It also allows for varying the number of knives to change the size and shape of the plastic granules.
3. The cutting and cooling system are combined, which saves a 4~6mm water tank and reduces floor space usage.
4. This technology enables automatic production, is easy to operate, has low noise, and ensures good granule quality.
5. It has a larger capacity than water strand systems and consumes less power.
