Karl Klotz documented a house fire in Frankfort's district last night and shared several photos with the following account:
Frankfort Ladder Co. 2 arrived to find intense flames coming from both the front and back of a two-story single-family home. The crew quickly made a knockdown from the exterior before entering the structure. Despite the freezing temperatures, which hovered around 20 degrees, the firefighters had no issues with water supply and were able to extinguish the fire efficiently.
The incident took place at 19949 Spruce Drive on January 2nd, 2012. Several companies responded, including Frankfort, Tinley Park TL204, Matteson A2, and Manhattan SQ1216.
Here are some of Karl’s photos capturing key moments during the operation:
- **Frankfort Ladder 2's crew knocking down the interior prior to making entry.**
- **Another shot showing Ladder 2's crew preparing to enter.**
