INSTRUCTIONS

• Inspect the tire for repairability using the tire manufacturer’s or HOPSON LAB guidelines. If it is repairable, mark the injury with a crayon and carefully remove the object causing the damage.
• Probe the injury to determine its size and direction, removing all debris. Injuries must be within the repairable area and no larger than 6mm (1/4'') in diameter.
• Apply vulcanizing cement to the injury channel and fill it with a vulcanizing insert. Cut the insert flush with the inner liner.
• Center the patch over the injury, outline it for reference, clean the area with buffing solution and an innerliner scraper. Mechanically buff the area to a velvet texture and remove all dust.
• Apply vulcanizing cement and allow it to dry thoroughly. Apply the repair patch, stitching it down completely from the center outwards.
• Remount and inflate the tire following all safety guidelines. Carefully inspect the repair for leaks and check the tire for additional damage using the tire manufacturer’s or HOPSON LAB guidelines. If everything meets the criteria, the tire is ready for service.
