Plastic Compound Underwater Cutting System Working Principle:
The traditional extrusion pelletizing process involves melting and filtering plastic using single or twin screw extrusion, followed by strand or hot face cutting to produce granules, which are then cooled or solidified. In contrast, the underwater plastic pelletizing machine is a new type of system that melts and cuts the material directly upon contact with cold water. Melting pelletizing offers several advantages over solidifying pelletizing.
Plastic Compound Underwater Cutting System Advantages:
1. Plastic is cut while in a molten state and solidified through circulating water. This allows for various viscosities of high polymers to be processed. There is no dust, and the granules have a structured shape, making them easy to package and transport.
2. The size and shape can be adjusted based on the extrusion rate and cutting speed by using different die heads. Different numbers of knives can also be used to change the size and shape of the plastic granules.
3. The cutting and cooling systems are combined, saving a 4~6mm water tank and reducing floor space usage.
4. This technology enables automatic production, is easy to operate, has low noise, and produces high-quality granules.
5. Higher capacity than water strand, lower power consumption.
