On October 13th, Chengdu Ace Cars unveiled a major milestone in the automotive industry by launching two heavy-duty trucks, Ou Zhi and Qian Long, as part of the classic blockbuster "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon." These vehicles, developed over two years with independent intellectual property, made their debut nationwide at the same time. Having successfully transitioned from agricultural vehicle manufacturing to heavy truck production, Ace Cars has rapidly risen to the top four domestic truck manufacturers within just five years. The launch of Ou Hu and Qian Long marks a significant breakthrough, filling several key technology gaps in China's commercial vehicle sector and showcasing the company’s strong growth potential. According to reports, both models reflect global trends in truck design, featuring a modern and stylish exterior. The chassis incorporates advanced technologies from renowned brands like FAW Jiefang and Dongfeng, while the engines are sourced from top domestic manufacturers such as FAW Xichai, Dachai, and Dongfeng Cummins. In addition, these trucks come equipped with a range of user-friendly features, including digital reversing radar, an MP3 speaker system, GPS satellite navigation, and remote-controlled door locks, making them more convenient and comfortable for drivers. Zhou Yulan, the deputy general manager of Ace Motors, explained that to ensure the vehicles perform well in diverse environments, Ou Hu and Qian Long underwent a rigorous 30,000-kilometer reliability test at the Hainan Proving Ground. They also faced intense high-pressure destructive tests in extreme conditions such as mountainous areas, floodplains, and construction sites. Before the official launch, the trucks had already received thousands of pre-orders from across the country, including from cities like Fujian, Shanghai, and Wuhan, indicating strong market confidence in the brand.
