The first domestic engine EFI system began mass production
China's first independently developed engine EFI system, the Konka AE06 automotive EFI system, has officially entered the market after passing formal customer testing and entering mass production. The first batch of these systems was installed in the "Dongfeng Xiaokang" minibus manufactured in Chongqing, marking a significant milestone for China's automotive electronics industry.
For many years, the engine EFI market in China was dominated by global automotive electronics giants such as Bosch, Siemens, Delphi, and Motorola. However, with the launch of the Konka AE06, the country is now taking a major step toward self-reliance in critical automotive technologies.
In August 2005, Konka signed a framework agreement with relevant departments in Chongqing to establish a car electronics base within the Xiyong Microelectronics Industrial Park. The project involved an investment of 300 million yuan, reflecting the company's long-term vision and commitment to developing high-quality, domestically produced automotive components.
This breakthrough not only strengthens China's position in the global automotive supply chain but also paves the way for future innovation and competition in the sector. With the AE06 system now on the market, it's clear that Chinese companies are no longer just following global trends—they're setting them.
