On August 16, 2017, key technologies for high-performance synthetic rubber industrialization were included in the national key R&D plan and will be officially launched in the near future. Industry experts said that the launch of the project marks the first time that China's synthetic rubber industry has proposed a roadmap for development in line with its national conditions.
It is reported that the technology is led by the China Petroleum and Petrochemical Research Institute and is jointly declared with domestic synthetic rubber research institutes, universities, production and processing enterprises. On the basis of careful analysis and research on high-performance tire raw materials and processes at home and abroad, they have taken the lead in organically combining the synthetic rubber industry with the development of the tire industry.
Gong Guangbi, a senior technical expert in China's petroleum synthetic rubber, said that the research funding for the project totaled 45.45 million yuan, of which the state's financial allocation reached 17.45 million yuan. The project is equipped with functionalization technology of solution-polymerized styrene-butadiene rubber chain, star-branched butyl/bromobutyl rubber technology and key equipment, high-activity high-cis rare earth butadiene rubber directed catalysis technology, double-B grade tires and long Four sub-projects of life capsule engineering technology.
It will cover the molecular design and controllable synthesis technology of high-performance synthetic rubber base materials, key equipment and engineering technology for high-performance rubber industrialization, high-performance tires and long-life capsule manufacturing formulas and process technologies.
