The cutting process of seat covers, headrests and interiors is an increasingly strategic part of the production of Faurecia's car seats. The Faurecia Car Seat System business unit supplies complete car seats, skeletons, machine components and seat covers to the world's major automakers. The production processes of these products are gradually moving towards Industry 4.0.
The goal of the Faurecia Automotive Seat Systems business unit is to double the current plant production by using advanced production techniques. The Faurecia Group's continued cooperation with Lectra will focus on operational excellence throughout the automotive seat system business unit.
With preventive and predictive maintenance, the Vector® fabric cutting solution is the highest performing cutting system on the market today. Its standardization will help to implement it in fabric cutting equipment throughout the business unit. Currently, Faurecia has more than 60 sets of Vector fabric cutting solutions around the world.
