The ISOMETER® iso415R is an easy-to-use device that integrates advanced communication technology for control circuits operating on DC 24 V to AC 230 V. It's perfect for various types of machinery found in industrial facilities, food processing plants, and other sectors. The iso415R is specifically designed for ungrounded systems to meet regulatory standards such as NEC Article 250.21 and CE Code Rule 10-400, while also complying with IEC 61557-8. It can be used in main circuits up to 400 V within smaller ungrounded systems that do not include variable-frequency drives (VFDs).
Easy installation and setup with a mobile app
To ensure maximum convenience, the iso415R allows users to adjust settings both directly on the device and via the Bender Connect App on a smartphone using Near Field Communication (NFC). Users can configure parameters like response values, Modbus addresses, time delays, relay functions, and more—even when the device is offline, before installation and commissioning. These customized settings can be saved as templates, making it simple to replicate configurations across multiple devices efficiently.
Simplified communication with Modbus RTU
The iso415R comes equipped with a wired Modbus RTU interface, ensuring reliable data transmission and seamless integration into existing control systems. In addition to traditional relay contacts for alarm signaling, the Modbus protocol offers a secure and proven method for transferring critical information. This dual approach ensures compatibility with older systems while enabling modern bus communication capabilities.
Small size, big performance
Despite its compact design, the iso415R measures just 18 mm (0.7â€) in width—similar to a standard circuit breaker—making it ideal for installations with limited space. Even though it's small, it features a dual ground connection to continuously monitor the ground conductor. If this connection is broken, the device triggers an alarm. The same applies to the connection to the system being monitored.
