Among the highlights are two highly anticipated debut models: an out-of-print Rolls-Royce limousine priced at 12 million yuan, which is the highest-priced production car in recent large-scale auto exhibitions in China, and the new Lamborghini Gallardo supercar, making its first public appearance in China. Only 500 units of the Gallardo were produced globally, and only two are available in China. Domestic brands like Shanghai Volkswagen, Shanghai GM, Guangzhou Honda, FAW-Volkswagen, and Dongfeng Citroen will also participate. The main attractions include the newly launched Peugeot 307, Toyota Corolla, and the new Ford Mondeo. Test drive sessions will be organized so that visitors can experience these latest models up close. Classic cars remain a highlight of the event. This year’s car carnival features a special showcase of vintage vehicles, with Hong Kong bringing some of the most collectible classics, including models from Beatles, Ford, MG Rover, MINI, Ferrari, and Morgan. One standout is a 1937 Ford, which has remained in excellent condition after more than 60 years and previously won a championship in Hong Kong’s classic car competition. Another notable entry is a handcrafted Morgan sports car, known for its exclusivity and rarity. There’s also a 1909 Ford Model T, owned by a local seafood restaurant, that adds historical charm to the event. This year’s classic car parade will also include a special activity where 10 lucky readers of the Yangcheng Evening News will get to ride in vintage cars during the parade. The combination of car sales and promotions is a key feature of the Guangzhou Auto Carnival. Many dealers are offering attractive deals. For example, Guangwu Automobile Trade is running a “Gaobao Europe and US Great Deals” campaign, with discounts reaching up to 60,000 yuan on certain models. Opel Meiga sedans will also see a significant price drop of 50,000 yuan. Guangzhou Chetian Auto City is offering a group deal on Mercedes-Benz E200 models, promising a 1,000-yuan discount per order. Nanling Motor City is giving away 52,000 yuan worth of gifts, while Shenfei Motor City is offering a 3,000-yuan repair voucher to the first five customers who purchase a car. Major auto dealers are also launching their own promotions. AEC Shanghai General Store is offering coupons and discounts, while some models come with third-party insurance. Shanghai Volkswagen is providing a "big gift package" that includes maintenance services and a POLO gift list.
