Evaluation of shallow hole retention method

(1) Applicable conditions

(1) Applicable to the steeply inclined thin and extremely thin veins of the ore and surrounding rock;

(2) The ore is required to be non-oxidizing, agglomerating and pyrophoric;

(3) The ore body is required to be stable in shape and regular in shape (otherwise it will increase the loss of ore loss).

(2) Main advantages

(1) The shallow hole retention method is simple in structure, convenient in management, simple in process, and easy to master in production technology.

(2) The amount of mining and cutting works is relatively small, the thick ore body is 7-12 m/kT, and the thin ore body is 10-20 m/t.

(3) Using gravity to mine, no other mechanical equipment is needed to transport ore in the stope. This refers to the method of leaving the ore in the ordinary funnel.

(4) Low ore loss is low, no loss of powder ore, low mining cost

(referring to mine mining recovery) loss rate of 5-6%, depletion rate of 8-10%.

(3) Main disadvantages

(1) The ore content of the retained pillars accounts for a large proportion (about 40-50%, and some 60%).

When mining these pillars, the losses are relatively large, and some losses are up to 50%.

(2) When the surrounding rock is not stable enough, especially when mining thin veins, the depletion rate is large.

(3) The workload of the flat field is relatively heavy, and it is not easy to realize the mechanization of the flat field work.

(4) Workers work directly under exposed ore and are less safe.

(5) The ore requirement for ore is uniform, otherwise it is easy to get stuck (requires that the qualified block of shallow holes is not more than 350 mm).

(6) The ore mining is restricted by operations such as thin ore, which makes the sunrise mine capacity low.

(4) Problems to be solved

(1) Mining equipment, flattening equipment, secondary crushing equipment, and shallow hole charging machinery suitable for mining veined ore bodies should be developed to reduce the physical labor of workers, improve working conditions and increase mining intensity.

(2) Develop and promote the necessary observation instruments (such as inspection of the roof).

In short, the shallow hole retention method is one of the most widely used mining methods in China, and this method has a considerable proportion in China.

The shallow hole retention method is a method for exploiting the steeply inclined thin and extremely thin ore of the mining rock. The amount of ore mined by the shallow hole retention method accounts for 81% of the total ore production of such veins in the country.
