The development and sea trial project of the Jilong manned submersible has completed all tasks and fully met the assessment targets and technical indicators stipulated in the contract. The acceptance expert group unanimously agreed that the development of the Xiaolong and the sea trial project passed the acceptance.
It is reported that after the acceptance, the Nine Dragons officially handed over its users, the China Ocean Mineral Resources Exploration and Development Association, to the marine technology field of the 863 Program, and played a pioneer role in the future exploration of deep-sea mineral resources and deep-sea scientific research.
The development and sea trial of China's Xiaolong manned submersible is a national major scientific research task supported by the 863 Program's advanced manufacturing technology field and marine technology field. The task lasted 10 years, and the 863 special fund was invested 350 million yuan by China Ocean Minerals.
