In addition to factors such as the increase in raw materials, fuels, power, and labor costs faced by the industry, domestic internal combustion engine companies are also facing the predicament of foreign companies robbing the Chinese market. For this dilemma, Jiang Deming told reporters that the main reasons are domestic and foreign-funded enterprises. Compared to the lack of core competitiveness, domestic companies are reluctant to invest more money in R&D, and their independent intellectual property rights are not protected.

It is undeniable that compared with foreign-funded enterprises, domestic companies do have a big gap with foreign companies in terms of new product development speed, product performance, brand, quality, cost, and after-sales service.

"But these gaps can only be shortened by Chinese companies through hard work."
