Pinggao Electric successfully developed 800 kV high voltage isolation switch

Pinggao Electric has successfully developed China's first independently owned 800 kV high-voltage isolating switch for the State Grid Corporation. Recently, the device was safely delivered to Yinchuan East Substation in Ningxia, marking a major milestone in China's ultra-high voltage (UHV) power grid development. This 800 kV isolating switch is part of Pinggao Electric's first 750 kV high-voltage isolating switch project supporting the State Grid. According to official reports, following the successful operation of the initial 750 kV project, the State Grid plans to build a comprehensive 750 kV transmission network in the northwest region. This will enable the transfer of over 200 million kilowatts of power from western regions to eastern and central China, significantly enhancing energy distribution efficiency. Establishing a safe and reliable UHV power grid is currently a top priority for China’s national power infrastructure. With this new development, Pinggao Electric continues to play a key role in advancing China’s energy strategy and supporting the country’s growing demand for stable and efficient electricity supply. The successful deployment of this technology not only strengthens grid reliability but also demonstrates the company’s technical leadership in the field of high-voltage electrical equipment.
