Pinggao Electric successfully developed 800 kV high voltage isolation switch

Pinggao Electric has successfully developed China's first 800 kV high-voltage isolating switch with independent intellectual property rights for the State Grid Corporation. Recently, the device was safely delivered to Yinchuan East Substation in Ningxia, marking a major milestone in the company's technological advancement. This 800 kV isolating switch is part of Pinggao Electric’s first 750 kV high-voltage isolating switch project supporting the State Grid. According to official reports, following the successful operation of the initial 750 kV project, the State Grid plans to build a 750 kV backbone network in the northwest region. This initiative aims to transmit over 200 million kilowatts of power from western China to the eastern and central regions, significantly enhancing energy distribution efficiency. Establishing a safe, stable, and reliable ultra-high voltage (UHV) power grid is currently one of the top priorities in China’s national power infrastructure development. The successful deployment of this advanced isolating switch not only demonstrates Pinggao Electric’s strong R&D capabilities but also supports the country’s long-term goals of energy security and sustainable development.
