Jinda: Will take the lead in the air conditioning market
On September 25, 2008, during the International Commercial Vehicles Exhibition in Hanover, Jinda Air-Conditioning made a groundbreaking debut by showcasing standalone truck air conditioners. This marked the first time an electric-driven, independent air-conditioning system was introduced for trucks. Yuan Xudong, Chairman of Jinda Air Conditioning Co., Ltd., personally attended the fair to present the company's latest innovations and operational vision to visitors and business partners.
Chairman Yuan Xuguang shared insights with China Truck Network, noting that while many domestic companies focus on passenger car air conditioning, few concentrate on truck air conditioning. He pointed out that countries like the U.S., Canada, and Australia have started banning engine-driven air conditioners in vehicle regulations. Recognizing this shift, Jinda quickly developed DC-powered inverters, enabling independent air conditioning for trucks even when parked.
Market demand has driven Jinda’s expansion into a new business segment: truck air conditioning. In 2007, the company established a dedicated project team for truck air conditioning, incorporating it into its long-term strategy. By 2008, they launched an energy-efficient, eco-friendly, and safe electric-driven system. The truck air conditioning market is second only to the automotive sector, offering significant growth potential. For truck drivers, this innovation brings comfort, efficiency, and safety.
Jinda’s truck air conditioning operates independently from the engine, using a separate battery system. While the truck is running, the engine charges the auxiliary battery. When parked, the system can be used without turning off the engine, eliminating concerns about fuel consumption, emissions, or safety. This technology is already in use in the U.S., Canada, and Australia, providing drivers with a comfortable and environmentally friendly solution.
Compared to traditional idling air conditioners, Jinda’s system offers lower noise, higher comfort, zero fuel use, and no emissions. Chinese truck drivers are expected to benefit from this advanced concept soon. In 2007, Jinda Bus Air Conditioner sold 12,000 units, with projections reaching 15,000 in 2008, including 20% exports. In 2006, Jinda partnered with Carrier, leveraging their global sales and service networks to expand into South America, Russia, and Canada, where they gained a strong market presence.
