55mm Euro Style Universal Tire Repair Patch

HOPSON Universal Tyre Repair Patches are ideal for repairing radial and bias tyres, as well as inner tubes. These patches are made with a two-piece construction using virgin rubber on a bed of black cushion gum, and they feature an aluminum foil backing for easier handling. The new compound formulation ensures better resistance to dimpling and long-lasting performance.

INSTRUCTIONS

• Inspect the tyre for repairability using guidelines from the tyre manufacturer or HOPSON LAB. If repairable, mark the injury with a crayon and carefully remove the object causing the damage.
• Probe the injury to determine its size and direction, and remove all debris. Ensure the injury is within the repairable area and no larger than 6mm (1/4") in diameter.
• Apply vulcanizing cement to the injury channel and fill it with a vulcanizing insert. Cut the insert flush with the inner liner.
• Center the patch over the injury, outline it for reference, and clean the area using buffing solution and an innerliner scraper. Mechanically buff the surface to a velvet texture and remove all dust.
• Allow the vulcanizing cement to dry completely. Apply the repair patch, starting from the center and working outward, ensuring full coverage.
• Remount and inflate the tyre following all safety procedures. Inspect the repair for leaks and check the tyre for any additional damage or leaks using the manufacturer’s guidelines or HOPSON LAB standards. If everything looks good, the tyre is ready for use.
