Industry is optimistic about the prospect of nitro-nitrogen irrigation and fertilization

From October 27 to 28, the 2011 nitro-nitrogen production application and irrigation and fertilization summit forum was held in Beijing. Participants believe that in the context of China's agricultural water shortage and uneven distribution and low fertilizer utilization, the development of nitro-nitrogen fertilizers that are time-saving, labor-saving and production-enhancing, and water-saving, high-efficiency, and environmental-friendly water and fertilizer integration technologies have broad prospects for development.

Hao Changjiang, vice chairman of the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation and president of the China Chemical News, said that in the first three quarters, the country’s total chemical fertilizer output (refine, the same below) was 46.06 million tons, an increase of 11.9% year-on-year, an increase over the same period of the previous year. 7.4 percentage points. However, China's fertilizer industry still suffers from serious homogeneity of products, low fertilizer utilization, and difficulty in popularizing new products in large areas, coupled with new issues such as overcapacity, rising resource and energy prices, and severe export situation. pressure. Under this situation, the integration of nitro fertilizer production and irrigation and fertilization is booming throughout the country. The advantages of nitro-nitrogen fertilizer products such as mature production technology, high nutrient utilization rate, and low energy consumption in production are rapidly occupying the agricultural demand market, and fertigation The technology is welcomed by the majority of farmers in terms of water saving, high efficiency, environmental protection, and income increase. This year’s Central Document No. 1 “Decision of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on Accelerating the Reform and Development of Water Conservancy” has brought new vigor to the development of nitro-fertilizer and fertigation technology.

According to reports, China's water resources are unevenly distributed. The water resources in North China, Northwest China, and Northeast China, which account for 50% of China's total land area, only account for about 20% of the country's water resources. The traditional irrigation method in China, the effective utilization of agricultural water is about 45%. If irrigation and fertilization are used, water and fertilizer utilization will reach a higher level due to the integration of water and fertilizers. Nitrofertilizer is an important raw material for irrigation fertilization (water-soluble fertilizer) and has potential for future development.

Participants said they are optimistic about the prospects for the integration of nitro fertilizer and water and fertilizer. Gao Xiangzhao, director of the Water Conservation Department of the National Agricultural Technology Promotion Center of the Ministry of Agriculture, stated that with the development of industrialization and urbanization, agricultural water is constantly being squeezed. At present, the agricultural water consumption is 300 billion cubic meters, but by 2020 it will increase 100 billion kilograms of grain and it will need to increase 50 billion cubic meters of water. He appealed that the red line of China's agricultural water consumption accounted for 60% of the red line could not be shaken.

The conference was co-sponsored by the China Agricultural News Agency "Agricultural Resources" and the Institute of Agricultural Resources and Agricultural Planning of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences.
