System Logic Function and Working Principle The protection system judges the critical thermal parameters of the furnace over the limit and issues a forecast or protection switch signal according to the over limit condition to cause the operator to notice or stop. In order to make the protection system work reliably and not to send or receive signals by mistake, the signal processing features of the Siemens S series PLC are inherited from the design, that is, it must be confirmed before the over-limit judgment that the measurement signal is reliable.
For this purpose, the signal measurement loop for the same thermal parameters is redundantly configured and the two measurement signals from the programmable controller and the instrument are respectively connected. Here, the input from the program is called the left input, and the input from the instrument is called the right input. The two input signals are first respectively subjected to the validity (fault) diagnosis of the signal, but only the valid signal may be judged by the overrun to generate a forecast or protection output. In the event of a fault, the system outputs a fault status signal alerting the person concerned to quickly resolve the fault.
The working principle and input/output logic of the protection system are as follows:
a. The input signal is first diagnosed separately. The items to be diagnosed are: 1. If the signal exceeds the maximum possible range during normal operation, if it exceeds, it is considered as (range) fault; 2. If the signal exceeds the maximum possible rate of change during normal operation, If it is exceeded, it is considered as (rate) fault; 3. If one of the above two items is generated, it is considered that the measuring loop of one side has occurred (channel) fault.
After the above three kinds of faults occur, their status is maintained on the OP5 of the operation panel and flashes, and the channel fault signal is also output to the centralized control console to remind the relevant personnel to quickly eliminate the fault. Only after confirming on OP5, the fault information will stop flashing, but the fault condition and the moment of its occurrence are still kept in the OP5 buffer for query.
b. The protection output is blocked when there is a channel fault. Only after troubleshooting and pressing the fault reset button will the fault status output be cancelled and at the same time the blocking of the protection output is released.
c. After the effectiveness diagnosis, the input signals are respectively judged to exceed the limit. Judgment items are as follows: 1. If the over-prediction limit is exceeded, if the overshoot is left and right respectively, the forecast signal will be output after 2s delay (or left and right phase/or after 0 delay 2s); 2. Is the over-limit protection, if over-limit and without failure? Blocking, then left and right respectively after 2s delay (or left and right phase / 0 delay after 2s) output protection signal.
d. In the time delay of 2s, if the forecast is doubled, it will be reset after a delay; if the protection double or there is a lock during the delay 2s, the delay will be returned.
